Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions are applicable for services & products:

  • ** provided in our workshop for hardware / software installations, upgrades, repairs; where computers have been handed over to us for performing these services.
  • ** sale of ex-lease and second-hand desktops and laptops.
Data Backup

  • ** It is the responsibility of the client to backup ALL data on the laptop/computer prior to a PC repair, PC or Server upgrade.
  • ** U-Bute IT Solutions are NOT responsible for any loss of data caused during the repair/service. While all precautions and steps are taken, U-Bute IT Solutions cannot be held responsible for any loss of data. It is up to the customer to BACK UP the data beforehand.
  • ** If the PC/Laptop needs to be reformatted for any particular reason and a Backup is required, the client will be quoted a BACKUP FEE in ADDITION to the Service Fee.
  • ** If there are more than two (2) system users with large amounts of data to be backed up, then an ADDITIONAL BACK UP FEE of may be applicable. You will be quoted / notified in advance if this is required.
  • ** It is NOT the responsibility of U-Bute IT Solutions if the client has NOT provided us details of ALL the directories/sub-directories/folders/sub-folders that may need to be BACKED UP. U-Bute IT Solutions will NOT be responsible for the loss of data OUTSIDE the directories that have been notified to us for a back up.
  • ** Backups DO NOT include Software programs / applications as these cannot be copied. These will need to be re-installed with genuine software and Product Keys supplied by the software developer / software vendor.
  • ** Additional fees will apply if the reformatted PC/Laptop has to be reinstated to an existing network or wireless connection at the client's premises. Fees will be charged at our normal rate per hour, payable on the same day of job completion.

Computer Repairs

  • ** You will be required to provide us genuine Licence Keys for any software / application that may need to be re-installed if reformatting of the hard drives is required. U-Bute IT Solutions will NOT install any software on ANY computer if genuine Product Keys and / or disks are NOT provided.
  • ** The timeframes quoted for computer repairs can vary due to unexpected circumstances that are beyond our control. The customer will be notified by telephone of any such delay.
  • ** If any additional service is required over and above the initial quote provided by an authorised U-Bute IT Solutions representative, NO further service will be carried out until the client has been advised and the client has agreed in writing to carry out this additional service.
  • ** U-Bute IT Solutions will NOT be liable for the loss/theft of any client device in our custody / premises, in the event of a break in at our premises. The client is responsible to hold appropriate household / contents insurance to cover any such event / incidence.

Genuine Software

  • ** You will be required to provide us genuine Licence Keys for any software / application that may need to be re-installed if reformatting of the hard drives is required. U-Bute IT Solutions will NOT install any software on ANY computer if genuine Product Keys and / or disks are NOT provided.

Hardware Warranty

  • ** Manufacturer's Warranty applies to all NEW computers assembled in-house at U-Bute IT Solutions. The manufacturer warranty covers hardware components ONLY.
  • ** A BACK UP OF DATA required to replace any hardware under warranty is NOT included in the warranty. An ADDITIONAL Fee to back up the data will be payable separately by the client.
  • ** All replacement parts have a 90 Day warranty period.
  • ** Any damage caused to hardware/software by environmental events, accidental incident, physical mishandling or electrical faults are NOT covered by warranty.
  • ** You MUST keep the original packaging of hardware items for any warranty claims. We will send the faulty hardware items for testing and/or repair to the repair center and re-install these items when received back by U-Bute IT Solutions from the supplier/manufacturer.

Transfer of title and General Terms

  • ** All goods remain the property of U-Bute IT Solutions until price of goods or service fee has been FULLY PAID. The purchaser grants U-Bute IT Solutions the right to enter the property / premises of the purchaser to recover the goods supplied by us in the event of non-payment.
  • ** U-Bute IT Solutions will store client's items up to 3 months from the date items are delivered to us for servicing/repair and service fee / charges remain unpaid. During this time, we will contact you to arrange for a pick-up of items and settle any outstanding payments. If no contact is made by the client and/or no arrangement is made with us to settle the outstanding balance by the end of 3 months, U-Bute IT Solutions reserves the right to initiate DEBT COLLECTION proceedings against the client and/or dispose of said items after the completion of 3 months to recover the cost of repairs and services provided.
